In a bid to bolster its workforce for the upcoming holiday season, UPS has announced its intention to hire over 400 seasonal employees in the Allentown, Bethlehem, and Easton areas. Southern Lehigh Girls Clinch Soccer Championship After Intense Season 🏆

The Southern Lehigh girls soccer team, after years of near misses, claimed their first championship title since 2019, defeating Whitehall with a decisive 2-0 victory. The District 11 Class 3A title game, held on a crisp Wednesday evening at Catasauqua’s Alumni Field, was a showcase of skill and determination, particularly from Southern Lehigh's nine senior players.

Freshman midfielder/forward Hallie Thomas and junior forward Ivory MoDavis each scored a goal, while senior goalkeeper Ava Foran secured the win with ten saves, ensuring a clean sheet against Whitehall. The triumph was a culmination of a season marked by significant challenges, including entering the playoffs as the lowest seed in their league's history.

Despite these hurdles, the team rallied in the final weeks, playing their best soccer when the stakes were highest. The victory not only marks a significant milestone for the seniors, who have long sought the elusive gold medal, but also sets a high bar for the program's future.
