Bach Choir of Bethlehem Brings Yuletide Joy with Christmas Concerts

The Bach Choir of Bethlehem is set to present its Christmas concerts on December 9th and 10th in Allentown and Bethlehem, respectively. The program includes Bach's Magnificat and the cantata Christen ätzet diesen Tag, conducted by Christopher Jackson and featuring prominent soloists. A highlight of the concerts is the tradition of audience participation in singing Christmas carols. The Choir, known for its rich history and contributions to classical music, recently celebrated its 125th anniversary. Tickets are available for purchase, and a livestream of the Bethlehem concert will be offered.

Festive Honor: Bethlehem’s Unique Ornaments Shine Light on First Responders

Bethlehem's Christmas City Trellis, a popular holiday exhibit, will be adorned with special ornaments honoring first responders. These ornaments, rooted in the city's Moravian heritage, will feature a design of candles and a star, symbolizing the guiding light of these community heroes. The 200 limited-edition ornaments, priced at $30, will support the city's Christmas tree and lighting ceremony. The trellis, located in Payrow Plaza, will unveil these ornaments during the city's annual Christmas tree lighting event.

Bethlehem Theaters Unwrap a Holiday Extravaganza of Shows and Crafts

The holiday season in Bethlehem is set to be lively and entertaining with multiple theater companies presenting a range of shows. The Pennsylvania Playhouse will host a craft fair and stage "Miracle on 34th Street," while Touchstone Theatre's "Christmas City Follies XXIV" promises a mix of music and comedy. Crowded Kitchen Players adds to the mix with "The Many Charms of Symon Tuttle," an original comedy that delves into community dynamics.

Sheetz Offers Thanksgiving Treat: $1.99 Gas at Select Locations

Sheetz, the convenience store and gas station chain, is reducing the price of Unleaded 88 gasoline to $1.99 per gallon at certain locations for Thanksgiving week. Unleaded 88, suitable for most vehicles made in 2001 and later, has a higher ethanol content than regular gas. This promotion is part of Sheetz's strategy to provide value to customers during holidays, with a list of participating locations available on their website and mobile app.
