Enchanting Evenings Await: ‘Cinderella’ Revival at DeSales University 🎭

DeSales University's Division of Performing Arts in Bethlehem is gearing up to present a captivating rendition of Rodgers and Hammerstein's "Cinderella," directed by Amanda Pasquini. Scheduled from November 29 to December 10, 2023, this Broadway adaptation promises a fresh take on the classic story, blending romance, humor, and beloved music.

The production tells the story of Ella, yearning for a life beyond her stepmother's control, and Prince Topher, who is coming to terms with his future as a king. A fairy godmother, in disguise, brings them together, sparking a journey of love and self-discovery. Featuring iconic songs like “In My Own Little Corner” and “Ten Minutes Ago,” this Tony Award-winning revival resonates with all ages.

Hosted at the Labuda Center for Performing Arts, known for its high-quality productions, "Cinderella" showcases DeSales University's commitment to the arts through detailed casting and set design. As the holiday season nears, this enchanting production is set to offer a magical experience, emphasizing the importance of dreams and authenticity. "Cinderella" at DeSales University is more than just a play; it's a reminder of the enduring magic of fairy tales.

A Night of Light and Solidarity: New Bethany’s Luminaria Night Supports the Homeless

The annual Luminaria Night (December 9th, 2023) organized by New Bethany Ministries in Bethlehem is a community event where residents light luminarias to support the less fortunate. The event serves as a fundraiser for the ministry's various programs, including food, housing, and wellness services. It symbolizes the community's commitment to helping those in need and fosters a sense of unity and compassion among residents.

Bethlehem's Christkindlmarkt, now in its 31st year, is competing for the title of America's favorite holiday market in a USA Today poll. Known for its unique vendors and festive atmosphere, the market has been previously acclaimed by notable publications. The public can vote until noon today (November 28, 2023) to support the market, which is open Thursday through Sunday in December until Christmas.
