This eight-day celebration is characterized by the lighting of the menorah, an important ritual symbolizing the miracle of the oil that burned for eight days. Traditional foods like latkes and sufganiyot are enjoyed, while families and communities come together to celebrate their heritage and faith. The story of the Maccabees' victory and the miracle of the oil remains at the heart of the festival, reminding participants of the enduring spirit of resilience and faith.

Sheetz’s Festive ‘12 Days of Christmas’ Deals

This holiday season, Sheetz is treating its customers to weekly free coffee and a unique "12 days of Christmas" promotion. The coffee offer, available every week in December, requires customers to be enrolled in the My Sheetz Rewardz program. Additionally, from December 15 to 26, members can enjoy daily deals on a variety of items, each deal valid only for the day it's offered.

Bethlehem’s Aaron’s Rent-to-Own Bids Farewell

The Aaron's Rent-to-Own store, located in Bethlehem Square, has permanently closed. Known for its rent-to-own business model, offering furniture, electronics, and appliances, the store's closure signifies a shift in the retail dynamics of the area. While the reasons for the closure have not been specified, it reflects the changing patterns in consumer behavior and the retail industry. The closure of Aaron's Rent-to-Own store leaves a gap in the Bethlehem Square shopping area, which had been a go-to place for many locals for home essentials.

Major Turnpike Closure for Bridge Demolition this Sunday

"Plan X" will be in effect on the Pennsylvania Turnpike's Northeast Extension this Sunday for the demolition of part of the Tilghman Street bridge. The closure, scheduled between midnight and 6 a.m., will affect I-476 between Lehigh Valley and Quakertown in both directions. The plan, which is weather-dependent, is part of necessary construction work, and travelers are advised to stay informed and consider alternative routes.

Her role as a policewoman and coach makes her a unique and inspiring figure in the community.
