Free Radon Test Kits: American Lung Association’s Lifesaving Initiative for Pennsylvanians

Amendment: We mistakenly posted an incorrect URL link for the free radon test kits yesterday. We apologize for any inconvenience. Please click below:

Note: Although only three days into January, we are getting late reports that there is a limited supply of radon kits left per region. Enter your zip code where prompted to see your region’s supply. If “out of stock”, you can contact the American Lung Association for further stock inquiries/ kit requests.

January is National Radon Action Month. In response to a report showing high radon levels in many Pennsylvania homes, the American Lung Association is encouraging residents to test for radon. Winter is an ideal time to test and free test kits are available on the American Lung Association website, and the testing process is simple. High radon levels can be mitigated with affordable remediation systems to reduce the risk of lung cancer caused by radon exposure. The ordinance, aimed at reducing animal cruelty and promoting humane pet adoption, allows pet stores to offer space for shelter and rescue group advertisements but prohibits the sale of animals from mills. This measure aligns Bethlehem with other Pennsylvania cities that have implemented similar bans.
