The Answer to “Did You Know” Trivia:
A) The Marquis de La Fayette recovered from his wounds in Bethlehem after the Battle of Brandywine.
The Brethren’s House in Bethlehem was used as a hospital for soldiers of the Revolution, where the Marquis de La Fayette recovered from wounds received at the Battle of Brandywine. The other options, while interesting, do not align with the specific historical events of Bethlehem. The Liberty Bell did pass through Bethlehem on King’s Road, where its wagon broke down, St. Luke's Hospital is notable but not as the first hospital in the U.S., and there was a tragic plane crash in 1961, but it did not occur in Bethlehem.
